Carolyn Willis Herbig is a native of Atlanta, growing up in Chamblee, and she is currently in her 27th year as Director of the Christian Beginnings Program (previously Mother’s Morning Out) at Duluth First United Methodist Church.

Christian Beginnings services children who are one year old through five years old (as of September 1 of any given year), including half day kindergarten.  The program is certified through the North Georgia Methodist Conference.

Carolyn studied at Georgia State University.  She taught at Duluth Baptist preschool before starting the program here at Duluth First United Methodist.  In addition Carolyn spent several years substituting for Gwinnett County Public Schools for elementary, middle and high school levels.

Carolyn is widowed and the mother of two adult children.
