EVENTS & NEWS
Genesis Youth Choir Kick-Off Event:
The new season of Genesis Youth Choir begins Saturday, August 4th, with a kick-off rehearsal and day of fun. Weekly Sunday afternoon rehearsals begin August 12th, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in room F-149, located on the 1st floor of the Family Life Center. The choir is open to all 6th-12th graders. New singers should contact David Daniel, Minister of Music & Worship Arts, by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 770-476-3776, ext. 116, for more information or to register for the kick-off event.
Back-to-School Youth Group Pool Party:
Beat the heat of summer, have some fun and join us for the Youth Group’s Back-to-School Pool Party on Sunday, August 5th, at the Lail’s pool, located just two houses down from the church. All middle school students should be dropped off at the church between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m. They will be walked to the pool by some of our adult leaders. Middle School students will have time in the pool from 3:30 to 5:30. They will eat dinner from 5:30 to 6, and be brought back to the church for pick-up at 6:15 p.m. High school students will pool time from 5:30 to 7:30, and may be dropped off and picked up at the pool.
Dinner is a hamburger and hot dog cookout and will be served to both groups from 5:30 to 6 p.m. next to the pool. We are asking parents and youth to bring a side dish to share. This is a great time to bring a friend to Youth Group and show them how much fun we have, introduce them to Christian friends, and help them meet some great adults who are there every week for our youth. Don’t forget your towel, swimsuit (appropriate), sunscreen, and a change of clothes. And the side dish! If you have any questions, please contact David Burchett, Director of Youth Ministries, by e-mail at email@example.com, or call 770-476-3776, ext. 119.

We Need YOU!
Youth - We need YOU to make Youth Group a success, after all that's why it's called Youth Group.
Parents and other interested adults - We need YOU to make youth group a success. We are always seeking new counselors to join the A-Team, or to chaperone events. This summer particularly we need some of you to help teach Sunday school for youth during the 11:00 o'clock time. There is a curriculum for you to use, or you are welcome to provide a topic for discussion. Please contact David Burchett, Director of Youth Ministries, by e-mail at email@example.com if you would like to help with our youth or need more information about youth group activities.
